Author and teacher

She worked in a group holistic medical practice in Boulder, called Wellspring Partners in Health, for the next 10 years from 1983 to 1993. At Wellspring Clinic, she worked in collaboration with other physicians, nurse practitioner, and physician assistant, along with other alternative healthcare providers. Through her relationship with Carol Dalton, RN, Nurse Practitioner, she learned a great deal about gynecology and natural hormonal therapy. She has had a private practice since that time, specializing in women’s healthcare. Because of her extensive association with local medical caregivers in the Boulder/Denver area, and her background working closely with physicians and nurse practitioners, she is able to provide an integrated approach to healthcare. She collaborates with other medical providers whenever needed, and will not hesitate to refer you to another provider if she feels that is in your best interest.

She is the author of Choices for Women at Midlife, Natural Hormone Replacement and Alternative Medicine. She has taught classes to women, putting on workshops with the same name, since 1999. She has been a charter member of the Acupuncture Association of Colorado, serving as Secretary from 1984-1985, and as Editor of the Journal of the Acupuncture Association of Colorado from 1997 to 1998, and assistant editor from 1995 to 1997. She has been a member of Women Caring for Women Network, a group of women health professionals from 1993 to the present, and served on the board for much of the time.

She continues her study of Chinese medicine. For the past 10 years she has studied with Dr. Miki Shima, an Oriental Medical Doctor in California. Various others areas of study including Dr. Randine Lewis, MD, the author of The Infertility Cure, director of the Eastern Harmony Clinic, specializing in treating couples who are infertile, combining Chinese medical approach along with a traditional medical approach. Most recently, she is studying with Dr. Bruce Robinson MD, who teaches traditional Western medicine to the Chinese medical community. She loves learning, and is committed to try to stay up to date with all the changes going on in her field of medicine.

Her skills include acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, dietary counseling, natural hormonal products, moxabustion, cupping, acupressure, electro-acupuncture, gwa sha, ear acupuncture, and laser therapy (an alternative to needles.).

Her goal is to help you get better, to understand how your body got out of balance and developed pain or illness, give you tools to maintain your health, and to refer you to other healthcare providers when appropriate.
