CHOOSING AN ACUPUNCTURIST
Here in Colorado, acupuncturists are regulated by the Office of Acupuncturists Registration which requires certification by the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. When you are considering getting treatment, look at a person's training, how long they have been in practice and if they are experienced in treating your specific ailment. Licensed Acupuncturists have extensive training (generally 3 -4 years of education), compared to chiropractors and medical doctors whose training is minimal.
"I believe in preventative health care. Most illness in our culture is the result of our stressful lifestyles and poor diets. Illness is often a metaphor for how our lives are out of balance."
"My philosophy is to help people manage their own health by giving them tools to get well and stay well."
